"We Wave" by Iowa's own Dalles Jacobus is inspired by the event that takes place after the first quarter at Kinneck Stadium in Iowa City, Iowa The game stops for brief moment to wave to the onlookers from Stead Family Children's Hospital towering above the stadium. 80,000 fans wave to those children with cancer in hopes of giving them love and a special moment to hold on to. Dalles was a former Iowa Hawkeye so his experience helping kids and their parents is first hand.
