India Bourne was born and raised in South Devon, the youngest of four
sisters. With a background in classical music, she started playing
cello aged 10 and picked up other musical instruments along the way. She
focussed on playing cello and composition at the University of York and
after graduating worked in the English National Opera's education
department. She started playing with Ben Howard several years ago and
quit the opera in 2010 to pursue a touring musician's career with Ben.
India writes her own material on and off the road and occasionally
guests on other friend's music as well.
India will officially release her debut e.p 'These Days Of Ours' on the 1st September 2012 and has plans to release a second in the Spring of 2013.
