The Fades . . .
"They seem to have melded what is a very old school sound to the new school of punk-garage, and this is what gives them the edge" . . . . XFM
"These boys know how to deliver a brand of angular straight ahead rock that is perfect for now." . . . . www.sohostrut.co.uk
The Fades were formed in 2000 by brothers James and Dave Lightfoot as Petrol Bomb, and later Molotov Cocktail. The current lineup was finalized in 2006 with guitarist Jonny Barnard and drummer Alastair "Flash" Thorpe. The band's first releases, the singles "You Say" and "Life Support" in 2003, were played by Steve Lamacq and Zane Lowe on BBC Radio 1.
In the summer 2007 music from their self-titled album was used on the soundtrack for Inevitable Descent, a motocross and mountain biking DVD released in Australia. They have a growing fan base in Italy and Germany and successfully toured Italy in May/June 2008. Additional fall gigs expected to support the EP release.

"GST Cardinals are going to be huge! the lads have got everything: the looks, the songs and the image." . . . . The Crack, Newcastle
The GST Cardinals have a raw, explosive and emotionally charged sound. Upbeat music combined with poetic and 'pissed off' lyrics give them something extraordinary. They are a five piece indie band from Hull, UK that formed in March 2005. Band members include Dave (Vocals), Matt (Lead Guitar), Alex (Rhythm Guitar), Mark (Bass), and Ollie (Drums).
This has been a busy year for the GST Cardinals constantly gigging up and down England adding to their fanbase. They have played live on BBC Radio, headlined the Newcastle MTV2 outdoor festival, and supported the The Holloways, The Fratellis, and Towers of London. In October 2008, GST Cardinals completed a three week US tour. Additional fall gigs expected to support the EP release.
