A CELEBRATION OF THE NATURAL WORLD THROUGH ORIGINAL WORDS AND MUSIC INSPIRED BY THE NATIONAL FOREST

Songs From The Wood aims to bring the creative community in the National Forest together, creating original songs, spoken word or soundscape performances inspired by the Forest and nature. As well as creating an EP, there will also be a short film made that tells the story of the project, the commissions and a special campfire performance that is planned to take place at the brilliant Timber Festival in July, an annual three-day festival celebrating trees, woodlands and the transformative impact of the National Forest. The project has been funded through a National Forest Arts Grant, set up to support the arts sector within the Forest during the continued challenges the Covid-19 presents.
