Having released their debut 7" '2Good' earlier this summer on tastemaker label Loose Lips (Chad Valley, Azari & III), South East London three-piece Beaty Heart now present their debut EP, the 'Slush Puppy/Cola' EP.

Beaty Heart formed in 2010 as a video-art and music collective based in Peckham. After a year of bedroom recordings and strange and wonderful live sets, the collective developed into a band. The forthcoming EP is the result of several months in the studio honing their 'psychedelic drum pop'.

The three-track EP is the perfect introduction to their organic, exploratory pop - on 'Slush Puppy', Beaty Heart's lush melodies and ethereal vocals are propelled along by gentle percussion and samples. 'Cola' is equally persuasive, the ambiguous lyrics "More wine, it tastes better with sugar…/ And I wish I had the money to keep the water cool" are set amongst subtle yet droning rhythms. Bringing the EP to a close with its almost-chanting chorus is 'We're All Friends Here'.
