The word feisty was probably invented for London band, Koogaphone who release their album, Rocket Science, on 7 September 2009. Lead singer, Julie Gravell, takes no prisoners with her succinct style of raucous abandon. The indie trio has built a worldwide following which other bands would sell their sisters for. The sound is more Buzzcocks meets Janice Joplin than anything else, explains Julie. "I was influenced by a lot of 70s and 80s stuff - The Buzzcocks and The Who as well as The Pixies and a dash of Aerosmith is all in there." This year's Glasto crowd will be able to hear songs from latest album, "Rocket Science" produced by Gareth Parton (Foals, Pipettes, Go! Team.) Also busy gigging in Britain, Spain and Italy – they return to impress the Italians again in late summer as part of the release promotion. The new album will be launched with a UK tour in September.
