Born in Leigh-on-Sea, Essex. Member of Chrome Hoof, Guapo, Knifeworld and The Holy Family. Worked with Keith Levene, Ed Harcourt, Miranda Sex Garden and various other genuine creatives. Solo artist since 2014, having released five albums of his own on the now shuttered Bad Elephant Music.
Began band life as a drummer, switched to guitar but ended up being known principally as a keyboardist. Has written and performed music for several theatre shows in Russia, working with Moscow's top session players and conservatoire musicians.
Optimal Eternalist is the first release on which Elvin plays everything: not because he particularly wanted to but because that was the direction the arrows of circumstance were pointing. Part Neo-Psychedelia, part Bernard Herrmann meets Syd Barrett, Optimal Eternalist is a sometimes unsettling, sometimes reassuring trip through colour-strewn landscapes of the mind.
"His sometimes seems like music for fairground rides in a shadow universe . . . and it's quite wonderful." Prog Magazine
