Will Harper, Enigmatic live keyboard player with South, at long last unleashes his bands debut album release
The Brian Jacket Letdown are peddlers of melodic farmyard rock with kitchen melodies. They are from England, Brazil & Poland and consist of:
Will (Vocals, Guitar, Banjo & Ukelele)
Tom (Electric Piano, Organ, Guitar, Kazoo & Backing Vocals)
Dan (Bass, Backing Vocals, Kazoo & Nervous Banter)
Mike Orski (Drums)
Tom and Will have been making music together since they were at school. They set up a studio in Tom's mum's basement. Meanwhile, across the atlantic, Dan was hoarding obscure LPs in Brazil, where he found Fernando and his cowbells in an abandoned warehouse. The four then gathered in London, joined forces and started playing live shows with an assortment of kit drummers.
They played their first gig in July 2005 at The Enterprise in Camden. Further gigs have followed at The Barfly and The Buffalo Bar, as well as dates at Liverpool's legendary Zanzibar club and a Saturday-night headline slot at Manchester's In The City Unsigned.
Before their first demo was even completed, they caught the attention of London-based independent Genepool Records.
