Vanessa Knight's debut EP "Hidden Song" evolved from her sell-out performances at 2010's Edinburgh Fringe Festival, where her "beautifully written lyrics and gorgeously complex melodies" (Hope Whitmore, Three Weeks) were performed for the first time. Having been classically trained as a singer, pianist and actress, Vanessa's delicate and heartfelt sounds take influence from other great female artists in the likes of Imogen Heap, Beth Hart and Carole King, though her childhood memories of being surrounded by the music of The Beatles and David Bowie are also clear to behold - "beautiful to look at as well as to listen to...the piano lines twinkle with dexterous intricacy, weaving around her vocals to form a shimmering melodious web that will lure you in and trap you" (Anna Dobbie, Click Music).
