Gravity is the first track to be released from The Thread (2026) - written and recorded between October 2020 and March 2021 and produced by William Jackson (Platinum Award-winning records for The Pigeon Detectives, + The Cribs, Kaiser Chiefs, Wiz Khalifa, Embrace, The Music, Magna Carta), the songs chart the journey of a doomed encounter, its ultimate end and the salvation of new love. Life and death have occurred along the way.

Virginia MacNaughton is a British artist whose debut album, The Music (1996) was followed by a self-release in 2003. Levers Pulleys & Engines was recorded and produced in Leeds with William Jackson and was reviewed in Uncut, Mojo, Classic Rock, The Guardian, Observer, Sunday Times, Independent, (Album of the week - Andy Gill), Big Issue (Album of the week), The Scotsman.
