Biog

'English Skies' is the debut EP from Falmouth band The Dustbowl Children. It is a collective of songs written by folk/roots musician Barney Kenny. These songs have been in his solo repertoire for several years now and have finally been brought to light with the help of 3 school friends all now studying at Falmouth University. The 5 track EP spans the genres of Folk, Folk Rock, Roots, Storytelling and Blues music, a comfort zone for Kenny's writing. Telling tales of England mixed with the themes of Dartmoor legends, fictional sea-faring stories and an ongoing vane of patriotism, 'English Skies;; will bring out home in anyone. The Dustbowl Children breach the gap between Seth Lakeman, Kate Rusby, Mumford and Sons and Led Zeppelin combined with party beats straight from the dancefloor. Prepare to hold your cider in the air and stamp your feet to songs you can drink to, tales to fly the flag to and hoe downs to dance to.
