'Curves and Corners' has been Mount Fabric's live set closer and fan favourite for a long time, and on listening, it's not hard to see why – there's no other way to perform this song than with everything they've got, and the band close their live show exhausted, exhilarated, and often bleeding.
The song has changed shape many times since it was written, and it's never performed the same way twice. Live recordings have been doing the rounds online for a while, but the band has finally committed it record.
Combining post-rock/progressive sounds with frontman Alex Marczak's soaring falsetto and emotionally raw lyrics, 'Curves and Corners' is six and a bit minutes of unashamedly prog-influenced rock.
The single's B Side 'Heat' is a live recording showing a different side to the band, playing with less traditional sounds and song structures, and was recorded in session for Shell Zenner at SSR Studios, Manchester.
