In A Band?

Genepool have been releasing and distributing music since 2003 and have helped loads of artists/labels get their records to retail. Wolf Alice, Hard-Fi, Newton Faulkner, Sundara Karma, Haim and many more started out being distributed by Genepool!

We now concentrate on distributing digitally. So if you want your releases available to stream and purchase, Genepool can get your music tracks available on the digital retailers below – FREE SET UP AND NO STORAGE FEES

  • Spotify
  • Apple Music
  • Amazon
  • Deezer
  • YouTube
  • JOOX
  • QQ Music
  • Kugou
  • Kuwo
  • Netease
  • + Many more!!

What will it cost?

To deliver an album or single to ALL the digital retailers worldwide there is no charge.

Genepool will then pay you 90% of the monies we receive from iTunes, 80% from all the other retailers (Via our INgrooves partnership). There are no hidden charges or storage fees.

Protecting your Music

Genepool/INgrooves will claim your music on Youtube and the like. So if anyone (including yourself) uploads a video using your audio – they will get a message saying it has been claimed by us. You will then receive any monetisation in your monthly reports.  For Example: if Joe Bloggs makes a fail video and uses your music to soundtrack it – you will get a share of the income for them using your audio. This will appear in your reports as ‘Youtube’ Revenue. So don’t be worried when you get a ‘claim’ like this in Youtube, it is all legitimate and you will be getting the revenue.

Barcodes/ISRC codes

We will supply these free of charge if needed. When filling out the form on the Release Music Digitally page, just leave these fields blank.

We would advise you and your label (if you have one) to join these societies and register your releases with them.

Release dates

Please allow as much time upfront as possible between submission and release date. We can usually get releases live to retail with a few weeks but it depends on the time of year and how busy the retailers are.

What Next?

To get started we need the form on the Release Music Digitally page filled out. The infomation which you enter will be used to describe your music release on all the digital providers so make sure it is all correct. If there is anything you are unsure about please contact us at
