ABOUT THE BAND

Formed in 2004, The Brian Jacket Letdown is a Folk-Rock band from North London, consisting of Will Harper (Lead Vocals, Electric Guitar, Ukelele and Harmonica), Tom Phillips (Wurlitzer, Guitar, Kathedral Chimes), Alyssa McDonald (Bass Guitar), Gemma Ware (Saxophone, Reed Organ, Glockenspiel, Theremin and more) and Dan Radclyffe (Percussion).

Taking their cue from Folk-Rock obscurantists before them like Stackridge, Hatfield & The North and of course the mighty Caravan, The Brian Jacket Letdown have admittedly spent many years lurking in the shadows of the british indie scene, ploughing-ahead undisturbed with their highly eccentric, original sound (which takes in chamber-pop, showtunes, acid-folk, cosmic-prog and "chinese funk", as one reviewer once described). In reviews the band have also been compared to Pavement, Flaming Lips, Syd Barrett-era Pink Floyd, ELO, and in the case of one journalist Bryan Adams… the less said about that last one the better.
